Football

The 7th Grade Football team improved to 4-2 on the season with a 23-6 win over Clay. Miles Soehngen (Sin-gin) scored 2 Touchdowns and Keegan Andrews scored the 3rd touchdown. Tyler Kuebbeler was 3-3 on extra points and the Defense also recorded a safety. The Hawks are back in action next Wednesday when they travel to Noblesville West. 

Congratulations to the 8th grade football team for a win last night over Clay Middle School 27-12. Cam Kern and Benton Williams scored touchdowns and Chase Stone has some outstanding runs as well. The B team completed in a scrimmage and Parker Anderson and Elijah Dorris each had interceptions. The Hawks improved to 5-1 and the next opponent is Noblesville West.

Tennis

The boys tennis team took down Noblesville West last night 5-0. Players of the match were Matthew Samson and Parker Weirich with their exciting doubles win. The hawks are now 6-1 on the season with two matches to go before the county tournament.

Volleyball

The 7th grade volleyball team beat Noblesville West 26-24, 25-22.   The player of the game was Leah Stout with 11 kills, a dig, and an ace.  

The 8th grade Lady hawks lost against Noblesville West 13-25, 18-25.  They all worked hard in the second set to try and get a win and come up short.  The players of the game were Kayleigh Mohr with 9 kills and 2 blocks, 4 digs and an ace.  Ainsley assisted 11 of the kills, had 5 great digs, and 2 aces.  

Both teams are back in action today home against Westfield.  Come show your support for our Lady Hawks. 

Cross Country

The RJH Cross-Country team hosted 8 teams and over 100 runners in both the boys and girls races last night in the Golden Hawk Invite.

Your Riverside Boys' Cross-Country team finished 2nd out of 8 teams and 1 point behind 1st place Fall Creek.  Carter Anderson took 1st place with a PR time of 10:04, which was 13 seconds faster than the 2nd place finisher.  Gabe Kozloski finished 11th, Bennett Floyd 15th, Calvin Leopold 16th & Jackson Smith rounded out the scoring for your Golden Hawks with a 22nd place finish.

Your Riverside Girls' Cross-Country team saw their top 3 finishers all with PRs last night.  Lucy Clark finished 16th overall followed by Kaya Brown in 30th, Brynn Coyle in 32nd, Annie Zeisig in 38th and Mia Sandidge rounded out the scoring for you Golden Hawks with a 39th place finish.

Both teams are back in action this Saturday in the Miller-Rock Invite at White River Elementary in Noblesville.

Golf

Last night 5 of the Lady Hawks golf team participated in the Hamilton County Junior High Golf Tournament, finishing 5th overall. Caroline Thompson and Elise Miller both finished in the top 10. Overall there were 7 schools competing. Great job girls!

Best Buddies

Best Buddies is a club that fosters one-on-one friendships between students with and without disabilities.  Best Buddies helps create friendships between all students in our school!  Best Buddies registration is due by 11:59 on Friday, 9/20.  Please make sure to complete all steps of the registration! T-shirt order forms and money can be turned into Miss Bohm's, room 108.  For more information, pick up a pamphlet outside of the guidance office. 

Fishers Tutors

SAVE THE DATE - WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH IS OUR FIRST DAY FOR FISHERS TUTORS.

What is Fishers Tutors?   Fishers tutors is a program where students from Fishers High School come to RJH to work with YOU on any subject!!  Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 18th in the Media Center from 4 - 5pm.  All students must have a ride home at 5pm.   This is a great opportunity to work with High School Students who understand what you are working on because it wasn't so long ago that they were doing the same thing!    Look for the Fishers Tutor Flyer in all your classrooms and around the hall.  Scan the QR Code to sign up for our first 2024-25 Fishers Tutors meeting.   If you have any questions, see Mrs. O'Connell in Room 114.
